Happy Maker’s Wednesday! What have YOU been making this week?
This week I’ve got a project to share that I made for two of my kiddos. My sons are both into Pokemon, and my eldest asked me if I could make him a deck holder (basically a package to hold about 60 Pokemon cards). I found this great tutorial from It’s Always Autumn for a leather one, but I don’t have any leather in the house, and I wanted these to be more colorful. I think a nice sturdy, wool felt would have done the trick, but I didn’t have that in the right colors, either. So I used interfacing in between two layers of fabric, and basically revised the process to make a very simple pocket with a snap.

And here’s the other side, to show the Poke-ball (Is that how you spell it? I’m such a Muggle when it comes to Pokemon!) I appliqued to the back:
